Funny Things…

I watched By The People, the documentary on the election of Barack Obama. It was good, flattering of course, but an enjoyable behind-the-scenes view as always.

One thing that came out of the, Michelle Obama, the First Lady, is wonderful. The one thing I criticized her for during the campaign – her statement that they might only go through this process once – is placed in a mitigating context.

Another, I saw someone I knew. Always exciting.

The best thing, though, was a clip of Obama at debate prep – he was preparing his response to John McCain’s attempt to link him with Ayers and Wright. He said (paraphrasing) what’s risky, John, is taxing employer sponsored healthcare plans that may leave millions of people without their insurance.

Hah, because that’s what the Senate Finance committee bill does. Risky, indeed.

Granted, with a public option open to people whose employers would drop them, it’s less risky.
